About Lindsay Nova

Lindsay Nova is an international aerial yoga instructor, aerialist, performance artist, and yoga teacher. She is known as a teacher of teachers through the development of her programs Rising Wings Aerial Yoga and Samanova Yoga. She has trained thousands of students around the world through her retreats and now, online.

Lindsay has always loved the gypsy life and spent many years road-tripping throughout the United States to teach and perform at music festivals and events like Burning Man. Eventually, she got the bug to go overseas in 2016 and hasn’t looked back. After working for a few resorts, she found aerial yoga. Growing up, she trained in ballet, modern dance, and choreography, started dance trapeze at the age of 15, and discovered yoga when she was 16. 

In her early 20s, she became certified in both Pilates and yoga and upon graduating with her degree in dance, she started teaching and performing in dance companies, and as a solo aerialist, hula hoop dancer, and fire dancer. She had always separated her yoga teaching and aerial performance until she found the healing abilities aerial yoga had to offer after she suffered a shoulder injury performing aerial hoop in San Francisco. 

After healing herself through aerial yoga, she was able to continue performing worldwide as she offered her Rising Wings Aerial Yoga teacher training retreats on 4 continents. She learned a lot about herself and what it takes to be a retreat leader, travel with aerial equipment worldwide, and market herself as a trusted brand.

After she was hired to teach aerial yoga at a school in Goa, India in 2017 she saw how broken the aerial yoga curriculum and teacher training for aerial yoga was. She decided to take matters into her own hands and created Rising Wings Aerial Yoga in 2018. She had no one to guide her and made many mistakes along the way and this is why she has now created the Aerial Retreat Renaissance online program to help others live their best life through leading aerial retreats!
